New glasses issue

Purchased sunglasses with Transition Drivewear lens, from an online optician retailer. The prescription is identical to my old sun glasses and normal wear glasses. They acuity is slightly better in the new glasses, until the object (letters in a sign) exceeds 60 yards or so where it's not as clear and at 100 yds blurry and at 150 yds not recognizable, but are with either of my old glasses. I've waited a week to adjust to the new glasses and no change. I've moved the glasses forward and back on my nose and that hasn't helped either. The retailer has a a guarantee, so I will send them back, but puzzled what could be wrong, given the circumstances.

Perhaps true, but not the question. If you have something positive to contribute, I welcome your input, if not , save your cap button and your opinion.
