One-eye Summer-Time Blindness

I am a 26 year old Male, I push carts for a shopping center, I am overweight and I am over 6 foot 4 inches.

So I can recall this happening during school when I was younger and this has happened today at work during broad day-light.  This starts off as several white dots in my right eye at the farthest right edge, then slowly fogs up to become near total blindness in that eye. (I'd say about 80-90%) The blindness is temporary, I do not know how long it takes for sight to return.   Does anyone have any idea what this is caused by?

As for my job we do have a "cart caddy" or machine, plus I am on blood-thinners supposedly for the rest of my life because my father and sister have a blood clotting disorder and FYI: I did pass a blood-clot that collapsed a lung about 3 years ago, 4 years come February.

Keep up your efforts to live a healthy lifestyle. Weight loss is difficult as we are an fat country (USA) and getting fatter. Only 1 out of 3 of use is "normal weight". With your family history it is very important. So very important not to smoke, control your blood pressure and blood lipids (fats = cholesterol & triglycerides).

Live well live long and prosper

Thank you for the responce, I actually do have a blood-clotting disorder.  I think it is call a Factor-5, not certain, I do get a PT/NIR done once a month, because I am on Warfarin.  Plus I am on Atenolol for high blood pressure.

The reason I'm still on the Warfarin is because I passed a blood clot after having surgery to reset my ankle.  The reason they say I have a Factor-5 is because my father had a Heart Attack from a blood clot cluster that came from his leg.  My sister has the Factor-5 as well.

Sorry if I added too much details to this, but I felt like this had to be said.  Again thank you and live well.

This problem may be due to medical problem called "TIA" or transient ischemic attack due to lack of blood flow to the eye or brain due to disease of the heart, eye, brain, blood vessels, or a small blood clot (embolus).

It could also be an "eye Migraine" attack which sometimes have no headache only eye symptoms.

you need to see your personal MD to discuss, have your INR checked and see an Eye MD ophthalmologist.  Lastly you need to do the diet, exercise, weight loss and healthy living thing.
