After waking up to sudden blurred vision in my left eye I went to see my Ophthalmologist, who then referred me to a Specialist ......who THEN referred me to Anthony Arnold, Chief Neuro-Ophthalmology at Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA. He diagnosed me as having Optic Neuropathy, with risk factors of hyperlipidemia and prominent crowded optic disc appearance. He had me get an MRI and blood work done to rule out causes. All have come back "ok". He believes it is due to a circulation problem, and there is nothing more that can be done. In your opinion, do you suggest I see any other types of Doctors to pursue the cause. I have VERY LITTLE vision left in this eye. After three months, I am not "adjusting" well to the loss of vision, not to mention, the difference of light/darkness in both eyes.
Concentrate on saving the good eye, protecting it from injury and disease. By now I'm sure you have read that the most common cause of ON when a cause is found is multiple sclerosis.
