Outer eye cyst

Have had a clear, jelly-fish like, cyst in my right eye, outer corner.  I know it is there, doesn't block vision, doesn't hurt, will ache as the day progresses.  Sensitive to water.  Occassional swelling of eye, puffy, sticky.  Doctore says he sees this alot, would remove in office but it has "roots", must be surgically removed.  No name for what it is in my eye.  Size is about the size of the head of an eraser, more oval.  Any suggestions on what it might be?

Thank you very much for the info.  I'll be glad to get this out of my eye.  Feels like it is getting bigger and more annoying.  I have multiple little cysts in my left eye as well but not big enough to remove at this time.  What causes these?  Infections? Soaps? Allergies?

Conjunctival epithelial cyst.  Your doctor is correct.  However,  I have puncture these with a needle (very easy to do and no pain after a topical anesthetic) and some took many years to recur.
