Viterctomy recovery time

I am 5 weeks post vitectomy op due to hemorrages and floaters. I can still see about 40 percent of the gas bubble, above the bubble my vision is very blurry. My pupil is still bigger in operated eye and I have a large red mark in the White of my eye. I am still on predsol drops 4x a day. Please can someone tell me is all this normal. I could read the bottom line of eye chart pre op.. How long did it take other people to recover from thier op??? I would really appreciate any advice or info

Thanks Beverly, I really appreciate your reply. It has only been 5 weeks but guess I'm not the most patient patient :-) at least I now know things seem to be progressing in the right direction ..

I had a Vitrectomy last year, if I recall correctly I think it took approx 3 months for my gas bubble to completely dissipate

Total healing takes longer and really depends of many factors

Thank you, I really appreciate your reply. I'm  new to this site, so will look it up now. Don't think it helps having lupus too but that's a whole other subject.

Use the search feature and archives to read about recovery from vitrectomy. All of what you described is normal in most people.
