Photoreceptors in the Eyes and Laser for Capsulotomy

Dear Doctors:

I have to have a capsulotomy and was wondering if this procedure will damage the Photoreceptors or rods and cones in my eye.  Does this bright light and heat damage this part of the eye?  I read in one of the databases at the library that this was possible in a laser procedure.

Thank you

No.  Obviously, it would not have been used to do millions of capsulotomies over many years.  There are many types of laser.
