Mole in my eye

Hi. Im 20 and for my whole life I've had a white mole in my eye. Its in my left eye, over the iris and pretty close to the pupil. Its big, white and sometimes gets a little red. It doesnt affect my vision and I can't feel it. but I'm still a little self conscious about it.
Sometimes people notice it and just stare, others ask, and some tell me I have something in my eye...confetti. (since its white)

Well...I really want to get surgery to remove it. but its kind of close to the puppil. My doctor says it will be ok, but what are the risks anyway?

I don't know what a white mole is or where it is. You need to get your specific information from an Eye MD ophthalmologist that take care of you

You will need to get your informed consent of the risks from the surgeon.

Thank for answering. It actually did grow when I was smaller. But stopped a few years ago. I know some people believe its inappropriate to have plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons, but its a white gross mole in my eye. The place people stare at when they talk to you.
I just think not liking it is a good reason to get it removed, but not worth it if the risks are high.

If its in your eye, its been there all your life, not changing in size or appearance, not affecting your vision and the only reason is you don't like it I think it would be in appropriate to remove.
