There is no scientific studies that show that a vegetarian diet will stop myopia from progression. (will however lower your cholesterol).
There is no evidence that exercises (physicial or eye) or relaxation techniques will stop myopia.
Remember myopia is the eye's equivalent to the child's growth in height and weight.
Be sure you child is under the care of an Eye MD ophthalmologist and discuss with him/her.
There are some good discussions about experimental drugs being used to stop high myopia which you can access using the search feature.

Yes, Unfortunately, this is the age when it "flies". I have a long history of very high myopia beginning from age 7, leading to various complications as i got older now 60. My ex had same problem, buy her dr dad did research at that time and made her wear hard contacts which stopped it around -5 or 6 - her sis did not do that and went much higher. Today there are exercizes and relaxations - talk to a univeresity teaching hospital. Most of all go vegetarian, I believe meat affected me. Family jhistory of high myopia? measels at 7 or 8 ?? get back to the group or me privately if you wish. ciao, Marshall
