Ocular Melanocytosis

My daughter was diagnoised a few years ago with Ocular Melanocytosis we went to her eye doctor for her yearly appt. last week and they attempted to dialate her eye after 3x with no success. Next time she goes in he wants me to start dialating her eye a day ahead of time to see if it will dialate. Will this cause any problems with her condition?

She is eight. Perscription is 1% uyologye, i think that is how it is spelled cannot read his writing. Also what causes an eye not to dialate she can see out of it 20/20.

Dear jo737,

You do not mention your daughter’s age nor the type of drops. If you have any questions, just call your eyeMD’s  to confirm that this is all right.
