Eye trauma scar tissue

My son had an eye trauma in 2008 and has been told that he will not be able to see again because of scar tissue in the back of his eye.  Optical nerve is fine its just the scar tissue blocking his vision. Can anything be done about it

My daughter also has the scar tissue as a result of pentrating injury..but the center of the retina is good...Is something can be done to remove the scar tissue. She also needs corneal transplantation and some part of retina is also detached but the center of the retina is OK.

Not likely.  The scar is probably the result of loss of retinal tissue.
