Scar in retina

Dear All,

I am Prasath, Aged-31, Male. 10 years before, I met with a fire cracker accident in my left eye, which caused both external and intenal injury. For 2 days, the left eye was completely blind. However, slowly the vision recovered like blurred vision initially and then slowly a improved brightness but not clarity. Lots of treatment has been given and tests were made. Finally, it was found that there was a scar in my retina and that too in vision area. Initially, the size of the blocked vision (not complete dark but a cloudy appreance) was very big and slowly as the years progressed, the size of the blockage got reduced. A Graph test was done and doctors confirmed that 30% of the vision of my Left Eye is lost and is permanent to my life.

Initially, I was wearing glass with the power of around -0.25 before the accident. After the accident, the power in my right eye increased considerably and currently at -2.75. Recent times, I feel that the pace at which the power is increasing is too high because of the stress in right eye as brain ignores the poor vision of my left eye and takes the best vision of my right eye. I also work in computer field and my complete work hours is on computers only.

Specific Symptom : -
If a close my right eye, I can see and feel all the objectsand their locations and only thing I can not do is reading. If I need to read, the size of the letters should be enormously bigger and that too I have to see different location to understand the letters. The blockage is exactly at the location where I see to read and understand the letters.

To Summarize, I can see the car in front of me, only through my left eye but I can read the numbe plate, name etc.
Because of this, determintaion of exact power in the left eye is alos difficult and is done only through tests and not by actual reading, i.e I can not confirm any power to my left eye  by reading the letters with that glass.

My Questions are: -
Can the scar in my retina be removed permanently ?
If not, What can I do to prevent my right eye getting increasing power ?

Thanks for the answer. No, I do not have any other problem in my left eye (Cataract etc.) but for this Scar. I heard from somebody that recently there are options to do surgey for retina also. Will this apply to my problem ?.

Anyway, as per your advice, I am planning to redo all the tests for this problem with respective Specialists. Thanks a lot.

I doubt the scar can be removed.  See a retinal specialist for this.  Do you have a cataract in the left eye causing the change in refraction?  See a general ophthalmologist for this.
