There have been over a hundred posts here about the same symptom. You can access them with search feature. The 'eye doctor' should be an eye MD ophthalmologist. If you saw one and had a normal exam and that is your only symptom and it goes way shortly after waking up you are likely wasting both time and money. If you saw an optom, non MD, then just make an appointment with an Eye MD, ask for an macular OCT and have them do a Amsler Grid test and of course a dilated medical exam. If those are normal as I have told many hundreds of people, that is usually just a result of your retina/macula switching from dark adaptation (scotopic system) to light adaptation (photopic)
