Ghosting vision

Hello so ever since the winter I've had ghosting vision... When I tilt my head down, the ghosting goes away...? And when I'm outside driving, the stop lights (red, yellow, green) lights have starburst with glares.. The lights themselves are tripled too.... I told this to my eye doctor and he didn't say any really about it, he was more focused on my "elevated high pressure". He gave me a stick with tiny wholes in it and the glares and bursts want away.... When I was at the appointment which was around Jan / Feb I was told I didn't have Glaucoma or Cataracts.. I read that Cataracts cause the glares the rainbow halos.. My next app is in September for a check up on the eye pressure. Can I get some glasses or contacts to fix my this to g issues or halo and starburst problem? I'm 20 years old

the most common cause of your symptoms would be needing glasses often myopia and astigmatism. The "pinhole" that you looked through that took care of the problem is a quick way of testing for glasses. If still blurred looking through glasses often NOT help while if pinhole clears up glasses DO help.  You eye doctors should have done a glasses test as part of your exam. You can go in to see her/him for a "refraction" or glasses test or get a second opinion from a different "eye doctor"

Ive thought for awhile that I've had astigmatism. I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure I have it
What I don't understand at your eye exam they should have done tests for it and the glasses test.
They told me my prescription is where it should be which it obviously isn't.
When I go back should I have them check my cornea thickness as well?
Corneal thickness won't give you any useful information. Corneal TOPOGRAPHY would and would be worth the cost if they think you have the right glasses RX and you are still symptomatic.

Can halos, ghosting vision and starburst vision be corrected without surgery?

often yes
Are contacts too or just glasses for the correction?
sometime either sometimes just contacts
=
By the way, the triple vision and all the vision distortions go away completely when I use the 'pin hole' technique
That could mean its a glasses/contact/cornea/eye lens problem and not a macula problem.
Will the Opthamologist tell me what I need to get to fix the distortions ?
I have no way of knowing what the ophthalmologist will tell you
