Pink eye after surgery

I recently got eye surgery to remove a freckle from the white of my eye. The first 2 days the redness was minimal, but a few days later it appears as though I have pink eye. When I look to the side, it looks like blood vains or something. It irritates abit but not much. I was wondering if this is common, and if this pinkness will disintegrate in a few weeks? I am very concerned.

And it's mostly pink only to the side, like if I were to look sideways.

Thank you, I will call my surgeon asap. But isn't it normal for the eye to be pink-ish for a few weeks? I only got the surgery 3 days ago.

You should be concerned. Call your surgeon and go in for a look to evaluate the problem.
