I had a cricket (hard) ball injury involving my spectacles 3 months back, which caused a corneal tear involving the iris, The cornea was stiched, the iris has lost its texture and round shape, the tear is not going through my line of vision
After 2 days another operation was performed to remove the rupurted lens (Cataract). I was told that the cataract was (AC membrane of lens) removed the PC membrane was intact and healthy to accomadate IOL
I was asked to wait for 6 months to have the secondary IOL opeartion. After 45 days 8 nylon stiches was removed and 4 nylon stiches are still remaining on the cornea. the 3 stiches are deep and a layer formed over it. I was told to keep the stiches and will come out on its own
when a key hole vision test was conducted after 2.5 months, i was having 6/6 Vision
My new problem is the IOL specilst says there is small synechia visible( attachment with PC membrane and Iris) which might be dettachable during opeartion.
Should i wait for another 3 months for IOL, will the synechia affect the IOL placing, is the synechia deattached normally ( its is only 3 months now) ,
can i use only monofocal lens , i have astamagism of -3 (1.5 before surgery and 1.5 induced due to trauma)
Should i remove the stiches before going for IOL or to wait till it comes out
What should i do, please advise
