Since cataract surgery left me with anisometropia I have managed with a distance contact lens in my unoperated eye. I was really happy with my monovision but couldn't tolerate the lens for long enough and got blurry vision and a dry, sore eye by evening.
On the helpful advice of Jodie on this forum I enquired about different lenses and (over the phone) was told that my opticians would order me a trial of some 14 hour ones as mine were only meant to be worn for maximum of 8 hours and I'd been overdoing it.
They gave me a free trial sample box of 5 lenses which are called CibaVision Dailies AquaComfort Plus. I thought this would be the answer to my prayers but although they're the same prescription as the others, my distance vision isn't as sharp or clear!! I don't understand this. Can you think of any reason why this should be?
I also find them much more difficult to manage. They seem to collapse on my finger whichever way I hold them making me think it's inside out, yet when I try them the other way they collapse just the same!! They don't seem to adhere to my eye easily either and I've wasted one of the 5 because I dropped it due to fiddling about trying to get it in.
So now I'm really not sure what to do. Is there a logical explanation why I feel I'm not seeing so well with these ones?
