I had a similar operation. I can't tell for sure from your description if it was the same. I could see after the bubble cleared up, but not very well. The doc says it takes about 3 months. But you really need to ask your doctor about your particular situation.

Doctor went in and removed scar tissue - repaired back of eye close to retina.  Used stitches.  Removed virtus and put salt water solution.  Was done with a small laser machine.  The problem  I can not see out the eye after the operation.  Is this norma?  Doctor said that sight would come back after the air bubble clear up. The air bubble has cleared.

Thanks!

That is a question only your surgeon can answer.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Dr. Hagan will tell you to ask your surgeon that question. You should have been going back regularly.

There are several different kinds of operation that are done with vitrectomy. What did you have done?
