What are my chances of lasik?

Hi there, I was just back from the optician. He said that I had far sightedness of about 675 degrees in both eyes and astigmatism of about 300 degrees in both eyes too. He said it was very high and did not reccomend contact lenses.

How does the degree convert to a diopter and what are my chances of a lasik surgery? Can I still go for one? Will there be any repercussions of going to one? Thanks for the help in advance

Something is very wrong in that information.

Call back and ask what your glasses prescription is.   "Degrees" do not equal diopters.  Degrees is used to specify the angle of astigmatism.

Hi,

I have my readings in diopters

Left: +6.75 + 4.00astig
Right +5.50 +3.50 astig

Am i suitable for lasik? Is ICL possible, combined with a lasik for my astigmatism?

You are going to be a challenge. I would find out the top refractive Eye MD surgeons in your area and get at least two opinions. Lasik does not correct hyperopia as well as myopia and your astigmatism is on the upper part of normal.  You might be a candidate for a refractive lens exchange and treating the astigmatism with lasik or limbal relaxing incisions.
