What to do with a chalazion...?

A couple of months ago when I had the flu my eye lids swelled up burned and when they began to return to normal my left one was redder than normal and had two small bumps in it. In the two weeks after that the eye continued to flare up and the bumps got a little bigger and itched a little but unless I point them out they're hardly noticeable. One's about 5mm diameter and the other 3mm. My eye was a little blurred so I went to the "eye doctor" and she said they should go away on their own and if they swell up again get a gel to put in the eye, (and she gave me a prescription for one).

This is now 4/5 months after and they've not gone away, not grown in size and the eyelid's not really swollen up again. However over the last week my eye's been even blurrier than before. I believe my vision corrected itself slowly after the last visit but now all of a sudden has started to blur.

I'm guessing it's the chalazion pressing on the eye causing the blurriness, but why it would change now is odd. Do I use the prescription or go to the eye doctors?
Thanks

Go in to see an ophthalmologist.  A small percent of chalazions require steroid injections or surgical drainage.
