Why can't anyone tell me the cause of irits?

Our daughter has had iritis off and on for the last two years.  It's happening more often now. . . . She is in college and working in a restaurant and does "stress" about school and finances.  She was tested for several auto immune disorders, one of which was ankylosing spondylitis.  All the results were negative.  She was a soft contact wearer for many years.  No doctor EVER saw any evidence of iritis in all the years she was seen by eye doctors.  Why would iritis pop up when it did?  All I ever hear, is "there is no cause."  I cannot believe that. . . .

This is the deal with iritis. About 30% of the time we can find a cause. The other 70% we can't find a cause. that doesn't mean there is not cause, it means with our present state of knowledge we don't know enough to find the cause. Lots of dieases are like that. The medial name for this is "idiopathic", a non-MD would call it "we don't know yet what causes it".

Have you done a search here or a google search? I had it because of multiple surgeries. This is one of the causes.

If you need more help, I will be back on Monday--I have to leave town to see an eye specialist.
