antibiotic for blepharitis

is tobramycin in tobradex effective against s. Aureus? Are there better antibiotics for this condition? Ive tried many others but it seems they make more harm than good. I wonder whether my glands have bacteria inside or not.

Hi, I had Blepharitis and was able to kill it. A friend killed her Blepharitis with a facial scrub with Benzethonium Chloride in it. I couldn't find the product so on line found WET ONES, antibacterial hand wipes, in the red box that had Benzethonium Chloride in them.
A friend in a rest home's eyes were all gunky with yellow stuff. I tried washing them with water. Finally pulled out a WET ONE and what a difference. She got relief and the gunk went away too. I do it every time I see her, several times a week.
I tore each WET ONE into 8 sections and rubbed each eyelash area 2 times each 4 times a day for a week and a half. Then (eyes felt so much better) I went down to 3 times a day for a month. After that, it was only 2 times a day for several months. After that, it itched once or twice. I jumped on it with the wipes for a day or two then gone. It has not returned and now just over a year.
There were 3 doctors who could not find it in my eyes including the Dr. who diagnosed the Blepharitis.
This may sound too easy and too cheap. There have been 2 people using 2 different products both with Benzethonium Chloride in it that have kilkled Blepharitis.  It does take a while to kill it but the relief is quick.
Wish you relief soon.

i dont have azasite but azydrop which is azythromycin dihydrate, i suppose it may be almost the same.
My eye doctor told me to put ciprofloxacin ointment once a day for a month, but im sure i cant do it due to the irritacion.
My palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva is also very inflammed, what anti-inflamatory eyedrop is best for the acute episode and for how long? Fluorometholone or dexamethasone (with antibiotic)?
How deep can bacteria infect the meibomian glands?
Many thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Antibiotics is not the main treatment for blepharitis.  They are used as an initial treatment with lid hygiene and warm compresses.   My antibiotic of choice for this is Azasite which is rubbed into the lashes for about a week.
