blurred vision

i recently caught conjunctivitis but was unable to get it treated for over a week. i then started putting the eye drops into the eye. i did this for a day and a half and stopped as my vision became very blurred to the point i had to lie with the eye closed. i decided id go to the emergency doctors first thing in the morning, unfortunatly in the night i was woken with lots of pain and tears in the affected eye. i couldnt move it and could not go near light. i headed for the A&E and they told me to take 'fucithalmic' for two days and if problems still persist i should come back so that i can be referred to the eye doctors.

my eye improved quite quickly once i began using this treatment, but unfortunatly my vision hasnt improved in any way.

is it possible i could of damaged my vision permanently? this is quite worrying as i prtetty much rely on this eye 100% as my other eye is classed as a lazy eye.

thanks

Yes. In my city only 1 of 3 ERs calls in an EYE MD Ophthalmologist.

Well, it is almost Monday. I wish the best for you.

Agree with AnnaE.  This is serious especially since it is your stronger eye.  See an ophthalmologist immediately to see exactly what is going on.  Understand that the emergency room doctors are trying their best to help but you really need to see a specialist EyeMD.

You need to see an eye MD as soon as possible, and find the reason for the blurring.
