In a situation like that, sudden onset of double vision IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING ANGIOPLASTY the problem is usually related to the angioplasty and represents an emboli to the brain/brainstem causing damage to the 6th cranial nerve nucleus.
It would be helpful to have an ophthalmologist look at the retina looking for other emboli and also doing a visual field to see if there is field damage. Both are common in strokes following internal or external vascular surgery.
Surgery is not usually done for 4-6 months after 6th paralysis as improvement often occurs. Cataract surgery can actually make the double vision more troublesome

pt.kbb aging 80yrs.old had angioplasty done in august 2009 & on 19th april he developed binocular diplopia all of sedden .is it complication of angiop;asty or drugs advised post operatively can pt. go for cataract surgery of paresis eye or for the other eye or is it essential to correct rectus muscle by surgical interventuon;.
Your question is vague. If you're asking if cataract surgery can be done the answer is usually yes. Will it help your double vision, usually no. You would probably be better off seeing a eye muscle (strabismus) specialist before doing anything to the cataracts.
