Hi,
I just took a test from one of the local hospitals here in India. Dr. dilated my eyes and took the test for the eye sight. But Dr. said that the left eye is showing very high power so he wanted to to do the test again the next day without dilating my eyes so he could try decreasing the power.
So today i had another test at the refraction room, and the nurse or PA ( sorry, i am not sure) she told me that my right eye's vision is low and she is prescribing a 0.5 cylinder for the left eye.. When i see the doctor after that, he confirmed it and wrote me a prescription for the glasses. In the prescription, it was like 0.50 @ 90 degrees for the left eye and nothing in the columns for the right eye except 6/6 in the last column for the right eye.
Well naturally i am a bit worried and confused about it. Does that mean that my right eye's sight went beyond repair that it only requires a plain glass or does the prescription mean something else ? I should have asked the doctor about it but, i only saw this when i got home...
I just wanted to add that i am a computer professional... and doctor prescribed an anti glare glasses and some eye drops for the soreness in the eye that i recently developed.
[ Previous vision test history : Four years ago when i had my vision test done from another hospital, it was 0.5 @ 160 degrees for the right eye and 0.25 @ 90 degrees for the left. ]
A bunch of thanks in advance.
