continual migraines one year after multifocal cataract surgery,

I am using excedrin migraine med. and zophran now daily. The continual headaches and nausea make this necessary. I use sunglasses in and outside and in the car(with a hat) since the roof is glasss. Can anything else be don? I get botox every 3 months for severe migraines, thank you. Barbara

It is not possible to answer your question with great certainty.  Have you had migraines a lont time? Did they get worse after your surgery?  Do the multifocals give you glare/ghosting, rays halos ?  While mutifocal IOLS have been associated with annoying/debilitating light reflexes (dysphotopsia) they have not be associated with making migraines worse.  If you feel that the multifocal IOLs have definitely made your migraine worse and you do have dysphotopsia  you could discuss explanting the IOL and putting a monofocial IOL or the new light adjusted IOL.  I again remind you that migraines very often get worse on their own.
