optic nerve injury

Sir,
I am 18 years old student and I live in New Delhi,India.
Last week i was hospitalized due to a road accident .I lost my vision of  my left eye.I did consult many eye speicalists and they told me that there is a injury in my optic nerve,which is not curable.Please let me know about the further treatments.I can afford the cost of international treatment.Please recommend me specialized hospitals or doctors around the world.

Wilmer Institute of John Hopkins were be as good as anyplace in the world however your prognosis is very guarded as the optic nerve does not regeneerate or try to repair itself like peripheral nerves do (nerves of arms and legs).

I am not a dr however I do know that the Wilmer Instititute, Johns Hopkins, located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA is one of the eye places that there is. I know several people that have gone there after severe head traumas that have caused eye problems (lose of the actual eye and nerve damage.) and they have received wonderful results. They have neuro-opthmologists that are supposed to be the best.
