I had cataract surgery on the R eye 6/9/08 and the L eye 6/18/08. Since the L eye, I have had diplopia and have been told it is due to the anesthesia needle. I have seen a ped. opth. and been given temporary prism glasses. He seems ready to go ahead with the muscle surgery. I have read several of Dr. Hagan's papers on the subject and my specific question is: What is the longest amount of time it has taken for this type of double vision to resolve by itself without surgery? On Sept. 18 I will be at 3 months. I am scared to have more surgery, as that is the cause of my current problem. Also the ped. opth. says it is an 80% chance he can correct it, and it may take more than one surgery. Thank you.
