dry eye

Anyone suffer from dry eye?  I use eye drops but it makes things worse,  My vision seems so blurry most the time I cant focus on anything these days.  I was prescribed restatisis with steroid drops bur heard so many bad things about it.   I don't feel like my eyes are grainy or itchy or irritated.  But my vision is terrible, it seemed to come on so suddenly.  Anyone else suffer from this?

You should see an ophthalmologist Eye MD, find one near you at www.geteyesmart.org   sounds like something more than dry eye going on

It sounds as though you need to write a list of your concerns and take them back to your doctor.

You will not feel comfortable until all your questions are answered, one by one.

Thank you..  I did read it but it didn't answer my questions.   My vision seems to be getting progressively worse each day little by little, eye drops are not helping, I haven' started the restasis yet though.   I cannot see up close at all anymore, seemed to come on quite suddenly, far vision seems a bit hazy to me.  I am afraid I was not dx correctly.  My grandmother had macular degeneration so I am a bit afraid it could be that instead.

Read the article on dry eyes that I wrote that can be found on the community page and expert page. Also use the search feature and archives and read the many posts. It is one of the most common eye problems there is.

I don't suffer from it but take Flaxseed oil 2 x day every day to prevent it.  Flaxseed oil had been written about rather often as an aide in dry eyes.
Get the good kind like Barleans brand that Fred Meyer sells in their health food dept. in the refrigerator.  The Cold-pressed refrigerated Flaxoil is best quality.
