dryness in eyes

Hello. I need help from a medical physician. I have epstein barr and have swollen lymph nodes and I believe that I am having some neurological problems being caused by the virus. It started with tingling and numbness in toes and fingers and has moved up. Today just all of a sudden my eyes started getting really dry and have been like that all day. I put some drops in both eyes and nothing it still feels the same extremely dry. I read somewhere that people can go blind in a few hours or days from optic neuritis? What should I do because no one believes me or knows what I am dealing with. I don't want to go blind so am I racing with the clock? Any help would be appreciated.

Optic neuritis and dry eyes are not even remotely related. EB should not cause dry eyes. It can cause ON. Suggest you see your personal physician or neurologist.

Whatever you have to do to get to see a neurologist, follow Dr. Hagan's advice--as in, right now:  You may indeed be racing with the clock in a situation where hours can be tremendously important.
