eye floater

I've had floaters for years. recently in a 1 day span, a very large floater appeared in my right eye, within a few hours my eye sight in the same eye became completely blurred,like looking through a sheet of celophane.seems to have all ear marks of a floater.slowly moves around but 100% blur. I have been type2 diabetic for 30 years.  Thank You   Mike

I'm with berrywoo. Since you have diabetes, I would see a retinal subspecialist directly to evaluate your symptoms. When you call, describe this event and ask to be seen "today" on an emergency basis.

GO SEEK MEDICAL HELP IMMEDIATELY. YOU MAY BE SUFFERING FROM A RETINAL DETACHMENT. AND DUE TO THE TYPE 2 DIABETES IT MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY DIABETIC RETINOPATHY. AGAIN, CALL AN EYE MD NOW!!!!!
