Swollen/puffy under right eye?

So I wake up this morning with my right eye almost half closed, and then"bag" underneath is puffy/swollen. It doesnt hurt or itch. Now last night my eye was really itchy and i kept rubbing it and it became watery. I rinsed with water and went to bed. Wake up and it swollen/puffy. The upper eyelid feels a little swollen but not as bad as underneath.

Did the itchiness and rubbing from the night before cause it? I read excess water and irritatation can cause swelling?

It went down from how it was when I 1st woke, but hasn't really improved after that. Also I noticed when I pull down under my eye(where the "bags " are,)  on the inside of the right eye bag its much more red than my left.

Hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Here's a pic indound on Google to show. http://binrock.net/photos/p/8928
Where they're pulling down, my right isnred like in the pic, left is much lighter and less red.

Still no pain or itchiness or anything

No way to tell for sure  what the problem is. Rubbing the eyes vigorously can cause swelling.  The most common thing that would cause the problem is something coming in contact with something, usually on your hands that transferred to your eyelids.

Cold compresses and time usually takes care of this. Sometimes a stye can start this way, in which case the swelling gets worse, pain and redness develop
