hemmorrage following cataract surgery

I had a cataract removed on 9/6/2012 and had a hemmorrage.  The doctor kept having me come in to have my eye pressure checked and I have been using 6 different drops many times a day.  On the 17th, I went in and he removed the blood clot.  The next day, my eye pressure was up to 28 and I am still blind in that eye.  I can only see light and have a terrible "floater" that looks like a fish!  Should I go to another doctor for a second opinion?  I live about an hour from Atlanta and think I should see someone at Emory University Hospital.  Please advise.

Good,  the Chair is Dr. Tim Olsen. Tell the staff physician you see to carry my greeting to Dr. Olsen. Emory will take good care of you, likely your physician surgeon is dealing properly with an uncommon complication.  While cataract surgery is common and successful, like driving your automobile it does carry unavoidable risks.

My Opthmalogist keeps saying my vision will clear up but it has been 3 weeks today since the cataract was removed and 4 days since the blood clot was removed.  I still can only see light through a light gray fog and constantly see the "fish" shape.  Am I in danger of losing my sight? How long should wait until I get a second opinion?  Thank you so much for your answer.

I trained at Emory. Great place for a second opinion. Go ahead and do it but tell your surgeon.
