higher order aberrations

I have severe higher order aberrations after lasik surgery. I was -9 and large pupils and unfortuneately wasn't warned of the dangers. I have problems with night vision and sight indoors. I have seen many people with many suggestions but need help in deciding what to do.
The lasik people say .........wavefront guided treatment to try to smooth out the bumps......I don't like the word "try"
The optical people say .............no more surgery and have contact lenses..............but so far I have spent 1000's of £'s trying to get a lens made that fits, is  really painful and takes hours and hours for your sight to come back after taking it out.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem........................your advice on any aspect would be very helpful

Thank you for this advice. Please can you tell me the exact name of these new Zeiss glasses. I have surfed on the internet but can't come up with anything. It sounds very promising if I could get glasses to help with the problem. I was under the impression that there was no such thing but if these are new it would be wonderful.
Thank you again

Well contacts are not working out.  See if wave front glasses (new) such as the Zeiss i-telligence work or get a couple of opinions about follow up wave front guide lasik.
