What causes bluish sclera?

I am 25 years old and noticed that the whites of my eyes (sclera) are blue. When I look to the side, you can see the blue and white separation. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal for some people especially highly myopic or near-sighted, the very young and the very old, it is not the same as the "blue sclera" associated with systemic disease.
