Most high end LASIK surgeon just use the Intralase. Recovery is just a few days. You should be able to drive the day after surgery. Use can use a computer but use a lot of tears. One tends to not blink when doing a lot of computer work. After LASIK it takes 3 to 6 months for the corneal nerves to grow back and restore normal blinking and tear film.

thank you so much, Dr. Oyakawa! What's the price range for Microkeratome and for femtosecond flap? I also heard of IntraLase which suppose to be even more certain for achieving 20/20 vision?
What should one expect during the recovery stage of few days? Could I still go to work and work on the computer?
many thanks!
Pricing varies greatly (microkeratome vs femtosecond flap). You generally get better post op care with the higher prices. Recovery is a few days. Dryness may last for up to six months and is managed with tears or temporary punctal plugs.
