It can cause eye strain, headaches etc but will not cause any serious damage to eyes. You can do couple of things to reduce this strain like
take regular rest like for every 1 hr continuous computer work take 10 or 15 minutes break.
get enough night time sleep
wash your eyes with fresh cool water at times etc.
