loss of vision

I suffered a third degree chemical burn in both eyes. I got most of my vision back in the left eye, but I only got about 10% back in the right eye.

Is this common?

I have heard of other people with eye burns not getting the vision back in the right eye

I did see the best Opthamologist in Minneapolis who specialed in burns. He retired shortly after my discharge. The clinic does not have my records (so they say). He was not surprised that I had vision loss. I am just curious why the right eye seems to be affected more than the left. I did have contacts in, and wiped my right eye to see enough to get to an eye flush.

You need to see an EyeMD ASAP. Some chemical can cause permanent damage with loss of vision and other problems.
