Blurry vision and dilated pupil in one eye

8 days ago i woke up with a really red and painful left eye.  Every time I went out side the pain in the eye would increase.  I went to the doctor and he again me erthromycin ointment.  I used it for the full five days.  Well the redness is gone but the blurred vision and dilated pupil is still there.  It also still hurts to move it around.  
Does anyone have any suggestions of what might be wrong?  Thank you ... I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for the advise I probably would of been in more trouble if i let it go longer.  U saved me from becoming totally blind in my left eye!  Thank you so much!

See a different "doctor" this time an Eye MD ophthalmologist. your symptoms could be a serious problem. Call tomorrow. If you live in the USA go to www.aao.org to find one near you
