Since you've somewhat mystified the Eye MDs that have checked your eyes I really can't tell from where I sit looking at my computer monitor. I would see the University neuro-ophthalmologist.

report back from neuro ophthalmologist was that blood work was normal. he now recommends I see a university neuro ophthalmologist, as they have more tools and more ability to diagnose and treat. I still have weakening of my left OS eye, floaters more prevelant, and the blurring is becoming more frequent. Glaucoma specialist earlier this week did an exam of my retina and found no tears, as has always been the case. I of course want to save the eye, and will do just about anything to reach that end. Plus hopefully find means to preserve the 'good' eye. I am not a person who says there is no hope. Is it possible that the weakening and blurring are not the result of my mild glaucoma and mild dry ARMD, but something internal affecting only one eye?
Went to a neuro ophthalmologist a few days ago. he did some basic tests for my senses, smell, feel, touch, and dilated and examined my eyes. He said my macula looks good in both eyes, and the left eye, while showing the effects of high pressure, appears to be in control, based on his review of my records from my glaucoma doctor and retina doctor. My vision is 20/20 and 20/30, and IOP's at 18. Cornea thickness at 565 both eyes. Color tests showed no unusual differences, altho I do have less recognition of colors in the good eye. I told the doctor that I cannot 'operate' on a daily basis unless I wear sunglasses inside and out-it mutes the dull vision in spots in the left eye. He wondered about lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, and while I have no symptoms, he asked me to do blood work ups. I asked him if this was a reason for my difficulties in focus with the left eye, then why not both eyes-if it is a blood related matter. He could not explain. Summary-by his measures, I should not be having such difficulty in daily activiites based on the condition of my eyes. My eyes have been stable, based on those measures for the last two years. I still can't readily read a newspaper without blurring and dull print, and can't watch TV w/o my sunglasses. Any other opinions?
I don't think you're on to anything that will help mankind although its nice that it give your relief. Keep your neuro-ophthalmology apt. Neither glaucoma or ARMD should cause your symptoms
