I listened to Dr. O and went to see a private opthalmologist, just got home. She dilated my eyes, checked carefully and found nothing, no tear, no hole, only dry eye problem. She also noticed the uneven pupils.
She's not sure which one is the problem, she thinks it could be the dilated one problem since the dilated one doesn't react to light that much, comparing to the smaller one, the smaller one reacts to light very well. But the dilated one doesn't stay fixed so she's not sure, besides there are times, they are normal size in certain light, the difference in size is variable/slightly. About my other eye being droopy, she's said that the droopy lid is not noticable, maybe it's not droopy at all. At the end,
She wants me to come back in two days for the cocain test in the smaller pupil eye to rule out Horner's syndrome because she's not sure which one is the problem. She'll do the cocain drop for free, not charging money
I have 3 questions.
1) Is it alright for the opthalmologist to do the cocain drop? or it needs to be done by a neuro-opthalmologist?
2) Are those drops safe, any harm to the eye?
3) From her finding, do you think I have Horner's or Addie's?? I know you can't diagnose me up here but which one of it could it be based on her findings
Thank you so much Dr. O,
millions thanks, by the way, I'm an Asian female in late 20's
