myopic -16 and attack cataract

I HAVE MYAPIA  -16 AND I ALSO HAVE CATARACT . I AM TRYING TO GATHER THE $ 8 000 FOR MY DR TO DO MY SURGERY BUT I DO NOT HAVE YET. ALTHOUGH I AM VERY SCARED OF LOSING MY EYES WITH OR WITOUT A SURGERY. WHAT TYPE OF SURGERY IS BEST FOR ME IN MY CASE.WHAT ARE MY RISKS WITH OR WITHOUT A SURGERY. HELP ME PLEASE.

I agree with ginmill01.
If you've got insurance than it will cover basic cataract surgery with a MONOFOCAL IOL implant.
If you do not have insurance there are financial assistance programs available either through the surgeon's office/hospital or through other charitable groups ie Knights Templar, Services for the Blind, etc.
Either way sugery for cataract removal can be done at little to no cost to you.

Do you have basic health ins?  If so, that should cover cataract surgery.  I was -18 and -19.
