I would not worry about the size of the incision for the IOL. You can implant a Restor in 2.2 mm incision, Crytalens, 2.5 to 2.9, Tecnis multifocal, about 2.9 mm.
A multifocal IOL spits light, therefore a macula which does not see normally will result in poorer vision compared to a monofocal or accommodating IOL.

Dr Oyakawa:
I heard that more mono-focal lens have size less than 1.8 mm. Will 1.8 mm incision have a better recovery and less complication than 3.0 mm incision ?
What kind of lens below 1.8 mm are available (or popular) in North America ?
You mentioned a multifocal will be okay with vision 20/25 or better. Does it mean the vision will be a factor to choose multifocal or not ?
Thanks
You can have cataract surgery and if you vision pinholes to 20/25, a multifocal would be ok.
