I had cataract surgery in each eye and my physician placed Crystalenses in each eye. I was very pleased. My vision was the best it had been since I was a child. Then, about one month after surgery, I accidentally bumped my right eye hard in my sleep and misplaced the lens. Two months later, my physician rotated the lens thinking it would restore my vision. It didn't. He has had me wear contact lens to see what he needs to do surgically to give me back the vision I had before I bumped it, but nothing works. He's talking about doing Lasik on my eye nows. I asked him if he couldn't just remove the lens that he put in and replace it with one that would restore my vision. He told me that would be too traumatic. I am concerned about the Lasik because my eyes are already dry and if I can't see any better with the contact lens, I am doubting that I will be able to see better with Lasik and I'll have dryer eyes to boot. Can a lens be removed and replaced without significant trauma?
Thank you,
