scattering from the edge of the objects through right eye

Hi,
After using the glasses a long time almost around 18 Years while having a high nearsightedness (L: -11.0,-2.5 R: -12.0,-2.5) I had gone for Lasik in the year 2004. After Lasik I was very happy as there was a great improvement in vision in both of my eyes. Since than I was not using any glasses till September 2010. What went wrong in September 2010 I don't know but one day I notice that I have scattering from the edge of the bright objects in my right eye. I had consulted ophthalmologist for this but he told  me that everything is fine. I consulted one more Dr. for the same and her opinion is same as the previous one, the only other thing she told me is that after Lasik the flapped portion healing doesn't happened properly in the right eye. But my question is if this doesn't happened properly than, how come there wasn't any problem during 2004-2010 and how it comes suddenly. Now I am hopeless and trying to find out what happened to my eye. Please help me out.
Thanks

After lasik there was small star burst in my right eye but suddenly one day in September 2010 this star burst increased. It is not understandable to me. What I know is that the regress can occur slowly not at-random isn't i and it should happened in both the eyes why this is happening in left eye?
The doctor has given me a number which is LE:0,0 RE:-0.75,-1.0. I am using the glasses since than but the starburst problem is as it is. Can you explain it to me.

Your problem is not likely due to the flap given how long you went and "were happy". It is likely that you have regressed and developed more myopia or/and astigmatism. Get a third opinion from a respected corena/refractive eye surgeon. There can be other causes such as cataracts.

You may need glasses, contacts. Not likely much more lasik can be done on your eye.

From personal experience, after lasik it can regress. I had lasik 12 yrs ago and it regress gradually by -1.5. Was -8 pre-lasik. The scattering sounds like starburst. Quite common for high myope who had lasik. Or could be due to dry eyes.
