swelling of my eye

sop
I have had headaches in which, sometimes turn into migraines. Here lately, they have started to worsen. As it progresses my left eyelid begins to swell with almost like a whelp on top. However, the pain feels back behind it. Note my migraines stay in my eyes, front forehead, and temples. Do you know why it would be swelling and why it only affects my left eyelid.

So, in your response, the histamine I may be producing, is it normal?  I have taken antihistamine tablets to see if swelling would go down..and it still takes two to three days before it is down completely. When the swelling begins and the migraine worsens it feels like the is fluid around the eyelid plus my forehead.  What I'm asking is should I feel like a Cat scan is needed? If not do you recommend anything else?

Thank you,
sop

no I don't but some time back a person sent pictures of the same thing and it woudl quite dramatic. Perhaps you migraines release histamine which is the chemical that causes swelling and hives in allergic people.
