Cataract

I was recently diagnosed as having a left cataract.  I was advised it may progress slowly or quickly.  I recently suffered an injury to my left eye when the top of a 3 inch screw impacted my eye.  It settled down after a few weeks.  Its now 2 months later my vision continues to be foggy in my left eye.  It was bearable until this week when after a 2 hour plane journey the cloudy vision greatly increased.  i have a lot of floaters and the blurred vision is not improving.  Is it possible the eye trauma accelerated progression of the cataract.  As a child I'd had eye surgery to correct a Aquino or lazy eye.  My right eye is 20/20 with no issues.

You need to get in as soon as possible to see an Eye MD. It is extremely important to make sure that this isn't a new problem such as a torn or detached retina.  Traumatic cataracts can progress quickly.  Call soon try and get in MONDAY. 9/12/16
