After 3 weeks on the pill, the pain from the cysts on my ovaries is still increasing. DH and I had a LONG talk and decided to go for the surgery.
My pcos is not insulin resistant. My fasting blood sugar was 71. Metformin is not an option. :-)
I was prescribed metformin. Its a doabetic drug but also helps with pcos
Hi,
I guess you have made the right choice. Hormonal treatment in the form of birth control pills is the preferred treatment for reducing ovarian cysts. The pills will show there effects within 2 to 3 months. Ovarian drilling is a surgical procedure that can be associated with complications like adhesions. Hope this helps.
