Usually you would want to take an OPK once a day (or twice a day if you wish) at the same time each day. I beleive that you are supposed to do it between 11am and 7pm, but I am one of the wierdo's who gets my OPK peaks in the morning, so I usually test once in the AM and once in the PM until I see a positive. A positive will have the test line as dark as the control line, so if your line is faint I would say keep testing once a day until you see a postive. In addition, sticky CM is not fertile. Fertile mucus is either watery or eggwhite. Fertility Friend has a lot of good info about this. WIth your CM and you OPK doing what they are, I would guess that you still have a few days to go, but I would BD at least every other day just in case.
I test at 5:15 in the morning when i get up for work..... i do it the same time every day....why should you do it between 11 & 7pm?
The reason they advice to test a little later is that LH is metabolized in your system in the morning hours, and it won't show up in your urine until a few hours after you get up. However, I used to test with first morning urine all the time before I started testing at noon instead...and to be honest, I didn't really notice any difference.
As for CM, like Cheescake said, its fertile when it's abundant and slippery or watery. Sticky and creamy is generally not considered fertile. Also, when you do see watery or slippery CM, it could still take a few days before you ovulate. Some women have fertile CM for several days, while others only have it for a day or two. In general, the last day of fertile CM is the day you ovulate.
Good luck to you!
Did you test this morning? Not to be to personal, but is the cm thinner yet?
i tested this am and the line is faint but a little darker than yesterday (i think unless my eyes are playing tricks on me). My cm was not noticably stick anymore. what do think this all means?
Not sure...if the line is getting darker that's a good thing. It's just a waiting game with that. The cm...is it thinner or gone all together? Clomid can play tricks with your cm, like make it thicker than usual.
