shoot i have been doing this a LONG time and my body is so confusing I never can tell when I ovulate! MY CM is NEVER eggwhite and I get it all month long. Yes sometimes more that others but it varies from month to month. So I dont really do the bbt thing but I had my 1st IUI this month and I am on day 33 so I have been checking bbt the last three days and it has been 98.1, 97.6 and 97.9. I am such a sleeper but since i decided to start checking it I keep waking up at 3am 5am then alarm goes off at 6:10am and that is when i test. So I know I am tossing and turning a lot at night. So because I am moving around is it accurate?? Plus if I was BFP wouldnt my temps be higher than that? With OPK's I will get a dark line for like 7 days but it is never as dark as the test line so even with OPK's I have a hard time pinpointing my ovulation. Sorry I am rambleing but I am frazzled right now and rambleing gets it off my chest a little.
GOOBERD: I do think that keeping up with the signs of your body in conjunction with OPK's do tend to work with most people. Try to write down all your symptoms from day to day and it can help you see a trend. Good luck to you!
To help pinpoint it a little better, you might want to try some opks. You can find them from really inexpensive at the $store or pricey for the smiley face ones at the drug store. They measure Lh(Lutenizing hormone). Once a surge is detected, you should o within 48hrs. Cm (cervical mucous) is a good indicatior, but lots of room for error. Good luck!
Generally, your last day of eggwhite cervical mucus is the day you ovulate. The side pain can come right before you ovulate, as you ovulate or right after you ovulate.
When you notice stretchy eggwhite cerviclal mucus, you're in your most fertile phase, as sperm can live in this type of mucus for several days. So even if you don't ovulate until a couple of days after you have intercourse, you can still get pregnant if you have fertile cervical mucus.
Good luck to you!
