Its to regulate insulin levels and your periods so u will ovulate. They do give it for diabetes too tho
Metformin really does not help .most gyns give that but it really does not work. And after taking it for months. My fertility doctor said at shady grove does not recommended that.
I started metformin on August 25th with 1000 MG daily and was increased to 1500 one month later.it did make my period more regular and showed signs of ovulation then I had postive pregnacy nocember 24th approx 4-6 weeks but had m/c on 27th:(. But I say metformin did help me ovulate seeing as my husband and I had been trying to conceive since Nov of last year. Hope this helps. I'm staying on metformin and trying again
Isn't metformin for diabities ??
I've been on metformin for about a month now...and it seems to have started my period for me (I was on a 60+day cycle). I'm hoping it helps me ovulate with the change in cycle but I guess time will tell! Good luck!
I'm on 1500 mg also it hasn't helped me regulate but it has helped losing weight
